Bright n’ Beautiful Appoints its Next Executive Director

Liberty and Vine’s Amy Pawlowski to lead Bright n’ Beautiful

Billings, June 13, 2023 Bright n’ Beautiful, a Keep America Beautiful affiliate, is pleased to announce the appointment of Billings business owner Amy Pawlowski as its next Executive Director. Amy will take the reins of the popular 35-year-old institution in July 2023.

Owner of the bustling downtown shopping destination, Liberty and Vine Country Store, Amy Pawlowski is no stranger to Bright n’ Beautiful and its mission of promoting a clean and healthy environment. She has been a life-long advocate for community improvement, especially when it comes to keeping her city and county litter-free. In 2021, Amy and her husband Jason and their downtown cleanup team were recognized with the annual Bright n’ Beautiful Community Star Award, honoring those who significantly contribute to the beauty and well-being of Billings and Yellowstone County.

“As a Billings native, I have witnessed just how much progress our city has made. I also believe there is always room for improvement, especially when it comes to keeping our city and county clean. My passion for this, combined with my respect for what Bright n’ Beautiful is all about, makes me eager to get on board,” said Amy Pawlowski. “I am ready to get dirty cleaning things up and look forward to leading volunteers by example. Keeping Yellowstone County beautiful is not just rewarding, but also fun!”

Amy will succeed retiring Joanie Tooley who has served as director since January 2018. During that time, Tooley expanded the portfolio to include ongoing beautification efforts at important landmarks, annual student-led cleanup campaigns in all four Billings high schools, and the establishment of an annual Community Star Award recognizing exemplary volunteers. “Serving this wonderful community has been an honor and a joy,” said Joanie Tooley. “I am thrilled that Bright n’ Beautiful will go forward in Amy Pawlowski’s capable hands.”

As Executive Director, Amy Pawlowski will work with Keep America Beautiful, the national community improvement organization, and its network of 700+ affiliates. She will also coordinate all local Bright n’ Beautiful volunteer activities throughout the year including the Great American Cleanup, Community Star Award, Keep Your High School Beautiful, Adopt-a-Spot, Arbor Day, Yellowstone County Christmas Tree Recycling and Keep Canyon Creek Battlefield Site Beautiful.
